The NY Yankees newly signed prize pitcher, Randy Johnson, will break his throwing hand by reaching for a line drive off the bat of Trot Nixon of the Red Sox, and will be out of action for 6 weeks.
Jason Giambi of the Yankees will win back the support of the fans and his critics by having a great Spring.
The Detroit Pistons will play the Phoenix Suns in the NBA finals this year. The Suns will win in seven games.
Pedro Martinez will hit a lot fewer batters pitching for the Mets this year. He has to come to bat. Isn’t the fear of retribution a wonderful deterrent?
And finally, in 2006, MLB will have its first, full time, woman umpire. The following year the NBA will hire its first woman referee.
